Meet Our Assessment Team:

 

Monica Manibusan, LMFT, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. She has extensive expertise working with neurodivergent individuals and takes a collaborative, systems-based approach that considers developmental, emotional, and environmental factors. As Clinical Director of North Star Families, Monica helps ensure thoughtful, comprehensive evaluations that provide families with clear diagnostic insight and practical recommendations for support at home and school.

Karena Lee, LMFT, is a licensed therapist, former first-grade teacher, and Senior Clinical Supervisor at North Star Families. With over a decade of experience, she works with children, families, and couples in both English and Spanish, helping navigate big emotions and strengthen relationships. Karena takes a warm, play-based and practical approach, incorporating creativity and evidence-based methods to support meaningful connection and growth.

Kelly Broffman, LMFT, is a licensed therapist specializing in work with children, teens, and families, with a strong foundation in early childhood development and neurodivergence. She received her Master’s in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Child Studies from Antioch University Los Angeles and trained at Cheerful Helpers Child and Family Study Center, where she focused on early intervention and parent support. Kelly takes a warm, play-based approach grounded in attachment, psychodynamic, and family systems work, helping children build emotional regulation and confidence while supporting parents in strengthening connection and understanding.
