Self-Determination Program (SDP) Autism Services in Los Angeles & California

Personalized, Neurodiversity-Affirming Support Within Your Existing SDP Plan

North Star Families provides neurodiversity-affirming, tailored services for autistic children, teens, and young adults who are already enrolled in California’s Self-Determination Program (SDP) through their Regional Center and have an approved Individualized Person-Centered Plan (IPP/PCP).

We do not provide Regional Center enrollment or case management. Instead, we partner with families to deliver direct services and supports that align with your existing SDP budget and plan.

Our focus is on creating meaningful, relationship-based care that supports growth in confidence, connection, independence, and emotional well-being.

“When we see a behavior that is problematic or confusing, the first question we should ask isn’t ‘how do we get rid of it?’ But rather, ‘what is this telling us about the child’.”
